Ninety people attended the event, e3ntitled “Who Cares? We Care” in the function suite of Livingston Football Club.
Following a welcome by local chair, Revd Peter Kirk, the Provost of West Lothian Council, Tom Kerr, praised the efforts of the local committee on behalf of the victims and witnesses of crime and said that his authority was committed to continuing to fund the work of VSS.

Speakers included Sandi Brindley, of Rape Crisis Scotland; Chris Hawkes, Chief Officer of the area Community Justice Authority; Lauren Geddes, of the Asylum and Ethnic Minority Project, David McKenna, VSS Chief Executive; and Karyn McCluskey, Deputy Head of the Violence Reduction Unit of Strathclyde Police.
