MBE recognition for Victim Support Scotland volunteers 
Two stalwarts of Victim Support Scotland have received MBEs in recognition of their years of charitable and community work. The awards were made at a Buckingham Palace ceremony on November 15.
Two stalwarts of Victim Support Scotland have received MBEs in recognition of their years of charitable and community work. The awards were made at a Buckingham Palace ceremony on November 15.
Bill McKenzie, 79, stepped down at the end of 2006 after eight years as Chair of the Independent Funding Panel for Victim Support services in Scotland. The panel’s work ceased when arrangements were put in place to fund local services directly through VSS.
Bill is a former senior Vice-Chair of VSS, was a National Council member for 15 years and a Chair of the Dumfries VS service.
Lilian Murray, 75, has been associated with VSS since 1992 and received her award for services to the community
