The retirement of a senior social worker in South Ayrshire has brought a welcome boost to funds of the Victim Support Scotland operation in that region.

Alistair Gilmour, who recently left the Criminal Justice Department of South Ayrshire Council, asked that donations from a lunch event to mark his departure should go to VSS locally. The event raised more than £850.
