The Victim Support Scotland Intranet, the national charity's newest communication tool, was unveiled today (July 3, 2012) in a workshop at the staff and volunteer conference at the University of Edinburgh.
The Intranet has been developed at no cost to VSS by 360ss as part of their corporate giving policy and Communications Officer Chris Macrae outlined its potential to workshop members. A more formal presentation of the Intranet and its capabilities will be made to all delegates tomorrow morning.
Within the next few weeks all staff and volunteers will be provided with a link where they will be able to enter a password which will give them access to the intranet via the VSS website at www.victimsupportsco.org.uk
At the bottom right of the website Home Page (on the blue footer band) click on Intranet Access. This will open a window requesting that you enter a login and password. Note: By accessing the Intranet via our website you are not compromising security.
With the next issue of Voice, due out soon, all volunteers will receive a letter asking them to identify their email address. That will be forwarded to 360ss who will then send the password link to that email address. There will, of course, be volunteers who do not have access to a computer. They will continue to receive information in printed form. Staff emails will be provided by National Office to 360ss.
