The Victim Support Scottish helpline is a national service which takes calls from all over Scotland.
Volunteers operate from our National Support Centre which is based in Hamilton at 4 Barrack Street, Hamilton, ML3 0DG. They provide information on VSS victim & witness services throughout the country and other local and national voluntary and statutory organisations.
They may also be required to provide emotional and practical support to callers who need immediate assistance.
Some computer skills would be beneficial but not necessary as full training will be given.
Training and Induction Details
Foundation Training takes place on a regular basis throughout the year and takes about 25 hours to complete, with additional training from the Telephone Helpline Association.

Expenses Detail
Reasonable travel and subsistence costs whilst on VSS business are reimbursed.
Frequency & Commitment
The time commitment that we ask from you in fulfilling this role is approximately three hours per week, for 1 year minimum
Minimum Age: Volunteers must be at least 18 years of age
