Each of the Victims Services has an Area Committee which are comprised of volunteers from the local communities from all walks of life. We regularly need new members to volunteer their time and skills across Scotland.
Please contact your local Victim service to see if they need committee members
Area committee members are responsible for promotion, fundraising and networking and are closely involved in raising the profile of the organisation.
Area committee members actively represent their Victim Service within the community.
The area committee is responsible for promoting the local publicity and for maximising all opportunities for highlighting the range of services that their service offers.
Skills & Experience
An understanding of victims' issues and a non judgmental approach. Experience of committee work, fundraising and publicity would be desirable, though not necessary as training can be provided.
Training and Induction into the organization will be given
