Parliamentary, Policy and Research Officer

Edinburgh or Glasgow

Permanent 

35 hours per week. Salary £24,750, plus contributory pension and Life Cover.  

An excellent opportunity has arisen to work with Victim Support Scotland as a Parliamentary, Policy and Research Officer.

The role is to support the work, and to build the profile, influence and credibility of VSS with Scottish politicians, political parties and opinions formers developing and bringing about policies and practices that deliver immediate and lasting change for victims and witnesses.

Preferably holding a professional qualification in law or social science, you must have knowledge and/or working experience in parliamentary, public affairs or policy research, a demonstrable understanding of social policy, criminal and community justice issues in Scotland and have experience of undertaking and publishing research as well as public speaking.

This post will be subject to a Standard Disclosure Check.
